The basics

Metal detecting has evolved. No longer will you be tramping around the beach with a massive piece of kit. The Treasure Seeker's are essentially a pair of sandals with a built-in metal detector, so you can stroll around and seek your treasure at the same time.

The good

Being shoes, the Treasure Seeker's are ultra-portable compared with traditional metal detectors. There's three LEDs on the strap-on leg unit to accompany the sandals - green for nothing detected, yellow for a slight hint of something, and red for get digging.

Another boon is that you don't look like a weirdo scanning the beach with a metal detector and a pair of headphones.

The bad

The chunky black styling won't win you any "Best Dressed on the Beach" prizes, and the strap-on leg unit may produce an unusual tan-line.
