well i got one of these from ebay. at first all was good. then things started to fall apart. first the clutch bell broke, had to get it welded as couldn't fine a new one anywhere. then the car caught fire for no reason so had to get all new servos, wires, everything basically that was around the battery area. then the gears were stripping (they were steel) so got a bunch of gears from ebay and i was going through a set every time i went out. so what was happening was with the 29cc engine mine has; it was just pulling the gears apart causing them to strip. solution (very simple and effective: 2 washers behind the plastic before the bolts that are holding the clutch bell in position dont do this on all 3 bolts just the bottom one and the one on the top left) this caused the gears to be pushed together making a solid conection between the gears. although get a metal front gear as the plastic one will spin on the inside eventually and will miss shape and cause the other gear to strip. get an X - Can exhaust. much better performance than standard and sounds better than a marder or Baja. FIT A FAIL SAFE (this will stop the car going out of control when the battery goes or runs out of range). lock tight all screws! fit a DOM Racing Air filter. oh back to the gears get a decent ratio for fast acceleration as you wont be able to use full speed before you run out of road so probs a 48th on back. around the front wheel hubs. ZIPPY TYE them down. stops the rubbish screws from coming out and making you buy a new one all the time, doesn't affect the performance just stronger. get a new pull start as the original one is plastic and breaks quickly. try and avoid hitting trees with the wheels as this will snap the suspension arms etc.
