Stanford Autonomous Helicopters
The basics
The Stanford Autonomous helicopters use a computer algorithm to gather data from a host of sensors to learn and replicate radio-controlled helicopters controlled by the human hand. Each helicopter is equipped with accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers, which monitor a helicopter's speed, acceleration and direction.
