A big consideration for this is that it only uses AA batteries so a rechargeable lithium option isn't really available, newer high capacity nimh might be ok as they don't have a memory effect these days and provide some 2800mah. Would be useful to see the runtimes on nimh, its not gonna be that great if you can only use it for ten minutes and then have to wait 24hrs to charge ur batteries... c'mon we need details Gadgetshow!

the running time is huge!!...i have had one for two years now...and the batteries last an age.... i will try do an experiment this weekend on fresh and see what happens... hugh fun though...and the ground clearance really helps in doors...if your ingenous you can make some great assualt courses...and while away the hours practicing your skill...lol wasnt sure as was £130 when i got mine...but looking back with enjoyment i have had £130 seems none too bad..... i have a larger RC car but never really find time to find a space big enough to enjoy it....
