The basics
The Brentner C4 Snowbike weighs 8kg and is “the most reliable snowbike in the world”. It’s basically a full-suspension mountain bike, but instead of wheels it has skis and instead of pedals there are footpegs. Just steer back up the hill to slow down and dig in an edge to stop.

The Snowbike model you tested on snow and the one I brought to your TV studio was a Brenter C4 (please note spelling). The C4 is as you correctly say the entry level Snowbike which is just 7 Kg and so easy to learn on. The one showing in the picture above is an F6 Snowbike also from Brenter; it is a bit more robust than the C4 and is designed for quick turns and fun in mogul fields. There are other models too; the S8 if you want something really cool that folds up really well and there are a range of Snowbikes for Juniors and Kiddies. The SAGB is our British National Skibob Association and can advise you on which Snowbike, Skibike or Skibob is best for you. email me at chairman_sagb@yahoo.co.uk or at info@skibike.net or go to the SAGB website www.skibob.org.uk Richard Platt
