Whilst being the 'Mercedes Benz' of bowling machines, the Bola does have its flaws. Its very expensive obviously but it's also extremely hard to pick the ball up when it initially comes out of the machine, making it useless for normal people. Other machines such as the Kanon, which is half the price, have the ball coming out of a tubular pipe that is well away from the actually machine itself, therefore helping the batter focus and pick the ball up better. Yes the Kanon only delivers at 75mph, but believe me, when you've had your toe broken by a Bola because you never saw the ball you'll think about using it again. Also the Kanon can be used for fielding drills. I'd therefore give the Bola a 3-rating.
