Nokia N78
The basics
Nokia N78 is a sleek mobile phone designed and manufactured by Nokia. This mobile phone comes with a 3.15 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, flash and with a secondary CIF videocall camera. It weighs 101.8 grams and measures 113 x 49 x 15.1 mm. However, it only comes in black.
The good
Nokia's latest Nseries mobile is rammed with features. Let's start with the 3.2-megapixel camera with optics provided by, guess who, Carl Zeiss - it's a doozy, boasting auto-focus and geotagging (so you know exactly where the snap was taken). GPS is exploited expertly thanks to Nokia Maps 2.0, and Google Maps performs brilliantly on it. Throw in Wi-Fi and turbo-charged HSDPA 3G for speedy downloads, plus an FM transmitter that lets you listen to the phone's music over your radio, and voila, a recipe for success...
The bad
...at least it would be if the controls hadn't been tweaked to hell since its predecessor the N73 - the joypad is spongy and particularly unresponsive (you'll often find yourself hitting the selection button when trying to push up) and the keypad suffers from tightly packed buttons. Those afflicted with sausage fingers would probably do best to avoid this... and barbecues.
The bottom line
It's not as feature-rich as the N82 or N95 8GB, but this slimline candybar is a worthy successor to the N73 in the feature stakes.
