Nokia 5310 Comes with Music
The basics
This uber slimline candybar is full paid member of Nokia’s all-you-can-eat Comes with Music services that lets you download as many tunes as you desire from its music store in a one year window. When time is called, the songs are yours to keep. The phone itself has the music chops to handle your tunage on the move with sizeable side located dedicated music player keys and an integrated 3.5mm headphone jack.
The good
Measuring a Thin White Duke 9.9mm, the 5310 is certainly Nano svelte in the pocket. Setting up the CWM online and side-loading your downloaded ditties couldn’t be easy and the music player sounds lively, especially when you plug your own quality cans straight into the handset and tinker with the seven strong equaliser. Tune Storage is handled by microSD cards up to 4GB max - that’s space for about 2,000 songs and more than enough for the on-the-beat music snacker.
The bad
There is a catch to gorging yourself on feast of music downloads: the files are DRM protected and have to played back on the 5310. This could be a restriction to far for some. Outside of its music talents, the 5310’s other major multimedia moves are disappointing with lethargic EDGE flavoured download speeds and a fixed focus two-megapixel proving a tad feeble.
The bottom line
With no extra monthly subscription or hidden costs, Nokia’s Comes with Music service is cost effective and with millions of tracks on tap, comprehensive. Combine this with the 5310’s size zero design and capable sonic performance and this package starts to look very tasty.

This phone is really good! It can hold 100 full songs, and you can put iTunes downloads onto it instead of downloading from the Nokia store!
