The basics

LG KF750 Secret is a touch screen mobile phone presented by LG. It has a 5 megapixel camera and weighs 116 grams. Its dimensions are 102.8 x 50.8 x 11.8 mm and it comes in Black, Titan Gold, and Ruby Violet. Additional features include an FM radio, MP3 player, TV-out, document viewer, and organiser among other things.

The good

Just as you don't see overweight, acne-ravaged girls on Hollyoaks, you don't see ropey-looking phones in LG's Black Label series. After the Chocolate and Shine comes the Secret, another top phone in the series. Broadband-speed HSDPA 3G provides sizzling download speeds, there’s a motion-sensing accelerometer and a cracking five-megapixel camera with auto-focus that takes superb snaps. It can even take video at 120fps for smooth slow-mo playback! With tough carbon fibre covering the rear panel, a sturdy slider action and a scratch-resistant glass screen, the build quality's almost as impressive as the features list.

The bad

The onboard touch screen is only really used for a few tasks such as thumbing through your photo gallery - the rest is taken care of with the large physical keypad and a (sometimes irritatingly quick) touch-sensitive thumbstick. The screen isn't particularly great as a touch interface either, proving erratic at times.

The bottom line

Its touch performance isn't much cop, but that's really the only major blot on the Secret's copy book. Otherwise this is a mobile to rival the iPhone 3G.
