Navigon 7310

The basics

The Navigon 7310 satnav has a 4.3-inch touchscreen, full 3D feature set, MyRoutes intelligent personalised routing, clever parking, Bluetooth and voice command, plus safety camera data pre-installed. It measures 19x116x75mm and weighs 182g.

The good

The 7310 is home to navigation technologies so impressive you’ll wonder how you ever managed to find your way to the back-end of Wiltshire without it. The 3D graphics demystify motorway junctions, flash up realistic road signs, warn of dangerous curves and give you multiple route choices depending on your preferences. TMC traffic is built in (though costs extra) and an accurately-named Clever Parking feature flashes up parking options when you near your final destination.

The bad

No one really needs Landmark views that have poorly digitised models of Big Ben, Stonehenge and the Great Ikea Tailback of Croydon (we made that one up) cluttering up the screen. The so-called Professional Voice Command is a bit of a joke too – you might start out politely requesting directions to the nearest petrol station but we guarantee you’ll end up be using a lot more colourful language before the journey's out.

The bottom line

An immensely powerful, simple-to-use GPS system that’s ten times better than any mobile phone app. The insistent graphics can get distracting but this is one sassy front-seat driver.

One of the best shows on TV, I watch it all the time & the show as well as being very educational it has the advantage of having the sexiest (Suzi Perry) women on TV & very pleasant to watch. Please keep up the good work. Terry

I have had a Garmin and a TomTom previously but my current Navigon sat-nav is far superior in my opinion. It's easy to use and the map info is really clear the parking feature is a god-send if like me your always on the road

I have a 6410 and it's ont he way back. Premium TMC (traffic is unreliabel) no info from Chepstow to London and back again) Re-routing keeps asking you to back-track instead of re-calculating the best route from your new position Route times are massively optimistic and inlcude the need to break the speed limit on motorways. TOMTOM IQ routes is far superior Maps look nice, but for me the two most improtant featues are accurate routes and accurate ETAs. I would have missed my Eurostar if I had trusted this Sat Nav
