Good torch for its size but the batteries can cost up to £5 each. The lower outputs can seem to flicker because of the circuit used. The R2 LED in this torch is now outdated, some manufacturers now use the R5 LED which is much brighter. I sold my one of these and bought a Dereelight C2H R5 which is cheaper at only £40 and has the option to run on a single AA battery as well as a CR123.

You would be better buying a Fenix ld20 uses AA and has an output of 205 lumens and has different power settings. Well worth the money had mine for 6 months and hasn't let me down yet.
