just so you know - the Gigaset HC450 is compatible with the following Gigaset phones: C595, E455, E495,S450, S685, S795 (soon to arrive in the UK), SL565, SL375, SL785

Looks like a great gadget but unfortunately it doesn't appear to be compatible with the S445 which is the one I have

Not easy to install unless you have a doorbell connected to the mains, ring tones for the intercom are basic and downloading new sounds are almost impossible to do! You could only use a door release if you use single point locking doors, ie mortice deadlock or latch type. Diversion to a mobile is easy and a great feature, you can pretend you're in whilst being anywhere in the world, or ask for that important parcel to be left with a trusted neighbour. Overall, it's a fantastic piece of kit in need of one or two slight changes to make it perfect.
