Bosch Rotak 37

The basics

The Bosch Rotak 37 is an electric power mower perfectly small and light to let you glide over the bumps, holes, and rough terrain of your lawn. Medium-sized, its features include multiple height settings, grass combs, grass box, long power supply cord, and a safety switch on the handle. Easy to store and easy to use, the Rotak 37 is every mower's dream machine.

The good

Mowing the lawn can be tedious. That's why we employ people to do it. But if you don't, then this Bosch is one of the best lawnmowers around. A world first, it's powered by a beast of a lithium-ion battery that takes less than an hour to charge. That means no heavy petrol tank to lug around (or pollute the planet) or electricity cord to accidentally garrote yourself with while trimming. Because it's so light, mowing was a breeze. And thanks to the chunky hips design we were able to run the Rotak alongside a flat surface and still snip right to the edge without any extra faffing. Which is exactly what we want.

The bad

At around 250 sheets it's not chea. Also, 36 Volts isn’t not exactly Geoff Capes power - that said when we gave it a spin it cockily hacked through even tall grass.

The bottom line

Have the trimmest lawn in your street and save the planet at the same time. The Rotak is one of the best mowers we've seen, with the added bonus of being green. Both literally and environmentally.
