The basics
The phenomenally successful Call of Duty: Black Ops takes place in the late 60s across Cuba, Vietnam and former USSR in a story of deadly weapons and conspiracy theories. Expect unrelenting action and a thoroughly addictive multiplayer section with new Wager matches, letting players place bets on their own performance using the new CoD in-game currency.

The campaign is good, no doubt. Possibly the best campaign from a FPS game, nevermind a call of duty game. However, it is renowned for it's 'online play'. In my opinion, online it is Rubbish with a capital R! Everyone just runs around with the same guns. It's basically shoot and kill and shoot and kill. The day I see a game full of shotguns, and snipers like MW2 never ever ever comes to pass in BOPs. The maps are under-par, and the audio is absolutly terrible - the FAMAS sounds like a baby rattling. Great Campaign. Rubbish Online. Wouldn't really recommend.

This game is dreadful the animation is rubbish the main character in the game runs and shoots like a robot the multiplayer maps are ugly the kills streaks look annoying the guns looks rubbish the missions like discusting and Zombies look rubbish.

Its just another call of duty game. same multiplayer + awful story. I now am just waiting for all the modders to get on the system and my friends to come back on better games.

Own cod 5 & 6 and was really looking forward to the 7th, my friend got it before me and said I could have a go before I buy it, the campaign is amazing, however, the online play is a real let-down. Not near as good as Modern Warfare 2. I would have bought it for the campaign alone, and then I saw the price. At £39.99 it is too much to pay for just the campaign. I am going to wait until the price drops too buy it.

why do you lot think you are cool dissing a geuinly good game. The onlie IS good ! If it wasnt how come it sold over 10 millon copies in the first night ! Far better the any of the rubbish you haters play on. So anybody that wants to get a good game THIS is for you !

PS3 servers are not great for the online play, you will be up on kills and about to use your killstreak when you get the No connection.... very frustrating. Other than that very good game and as always love the zombie game play

Online is brill it's also quiet challenging collecting CoD point which is the currency in the game but I believe the campain is poor compered with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 plus with the online play the guns are repetative in most of the classes including SMG, LMG and MG me personally I use the MI6, AK-47, CZ5K, MP5K and Tomohawk My rating 9.5/10

I think cod black ops is good but the graphics are pretty rubbish because they are so dark (even with the setting thing on visible its still dark) combat training is great because they make it very easy but online dont get me started some guy was 15th prestige level 50 when the game had already came out 6 days before that HUHHHHH!!!!! I like zombies because it is funny when you blow of a zombies head off, why cant treyarch bring out the map pack for the Playstation at the same time as X-Box I think it is ridiculos.

i think the campaign has a good story line and i love the fact that u can use helicopters and bikes,but i think the graphics let it down. the online maps r alrite and i think the guns are alrite 2. i prefer cod 6 to cod 7

Black ops is the best cod they have made yet with all the new map packs they are brining out i might not even get mw3 but i probaly will get it and buy the maps for that. GO BOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All these comments saying Black Ops is rubbish is not true. Not only have they sold thousands of copies, there are like 500,000 people online playing multiplayer at any one time. While the story isn't that good, you do get to fly helicopters, I don't see that on any other Call of Duty!
