I would never ever buy a Countax again. My first, bought in 1997, had constant hydraulic problems. I was assured these had been solved when I bought my next machine three years ago. True- but the new machine has constant belt problems. I live in France- Countax agents worse than useless. No repair ever takes less than two to three weeks.

Thinking of buying a Countax- not a good idea

further to my comments of 6.8.11, and the inefficiency of French Countax agents, I had no choice but to trailer the two tractors from our home near Caen to Calais, cross to Dover and go to the UK Countax agent in Canterbury...it cost £600 per machine to clear up the mistakes/poor servicing in France. Now I have to trailer them back again, at a total cost for repairs, cross-Channel fares, petrol etc of nearly £2000. The French agents had eg fitted wrong belts, failed to grease, and goodness knows what else. I blame Countax for not vetting French agents sufficiently- excellent machines when they work, but with old machine it was always electrics going wrong, new machine always drive belts. Would never buy again, even if I lived in UK .
