Asus Eee Top
The basics
Asus brings touchscreen to the desktop with the Asus Eee Top All-In-One-Touch Screen PC. Inside is a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and a 160B hard drive. The touchscreen comes in at 15.6-inches and features a 1.3 megapixel camera for webcam chat. It's also got built in stereo speakers and comes loaded with Windows XP.
The good
This is as easy to use as it is on your wallet. The Asus’s Eee values are kept to the core in this all-in-one desktop. Plug it in, turn it on, and tap an icon with your finger to launch via the touchscreen monitor. It's that simple. The keyboard is also a charmer: sleek, stylish and solid. It even packs a pop-out stylus should your digits get tired from all the prodding. It's white minimalism with muscle, unlike Apple's puny peripherals. It won’t run the latest games, but that’s not the point: this is perfect if all you want to do is browse the web, pull up pictures or, erm, draw.
The bad
For a 15-inch monitor, the 1366x768 resolution borders on the grainy side. You won't notice it when you're running video, but Windows XP looks cheap and you won't get any really vivid detail from your photos.
The bottom line
Like the Eee PC range of netbooks, this has casual consumers covered on the cheap, at just £440. All you need is a USB TV receiver, and you've got the perfect multimedia centre for any kitchen. Truly Eees are good and this is Top! No really, that's it's name.

Having tried one of these for my disabled son at his nursery. Our Local charity has found funding so that our son can have his own at home. Having search the internet I am struggling to find anyone who is selling them. Have they been discontinued? Can the gadget show help. We love the show.

When is the ASUS Eee Top ET2203T coming out and around what price will it be? This sure looks like it is a lot better than any of the Vaio's on sale at the moment and hopefully it will bring the prices down.
