Toshiba Regza 32RV635DB
The basics
The Toshiba Regza 32RV635DB is a 32-inch Full HD (1080p) LCD television. It has a Freeview tuner, resolution enhancement, ambient light sensor, Dolby Volume, Eco Panel and four HDMI inputs. It measures just 86mm thick and weighs 12.7kg.
The good
Toshiba isn’t one to hold a grudge. With no less than four HDMI inputs on the board, this Regza positively welcomes Blu-ray players to its audio-visual party, spewing 1080p footage into your living room with an infectious energy. It’s just the right size for (modestly) enhanced standard definition Freeview broadcasts and DVD playback, too. We especially like the stripped-down remote control and re-designed menus, and applaud EcoPanel technology that cuts its energy requirements by over 40 per cent. There are lots of manual options to fiddle with or you could just let the smarty-pants MetaBrain processing chip decide how to display your favourite shows.
The bad
Strictly speaking, you don’t really need full 1080p playback on a TV just 32 inches in size, even if you sit right next to the screen like your mum used to scold you for. Also, 100Hz scanning would have helped with occasionally jittery action sequences.
The bottom line
A solid, well-made television for smaller rooms or gaming, the 32RV635DB is match for Sony’s and Panasonic’s image quality – as well as for Samsung’s and LG’s price point. Worth checking out.

loved the way the last show 5/10/09 went back to basic gadget show. with showing the best gadgets and items without the stupid messing about and childish antics. well done and keep the show as it should be.

I bought htis Toshiba Regza about 6 mnths ago at 42inches. It's all great apart from the fact that it receives the remote control really slowly and does me head in sometimes.

Totaly agree with B. Lightfoot above. You guys are trying to turn this show into the same format as Top Gear and succeeding. Just a load of messing about with v little content. Why no mention of the 37RV635DB ??

You can pick this set up for a great price, however if you're looking for a TV for gaming avoid this one. The motion blur on these sets renders them all but unusable.

Got to admit been a fan of the show for many years but getting a little tired of the childish challenges. Straight forward information on up to date technology and comparisons between simular items is what we want.

Hi, Bought a 32 " Regza LCD tv based on your recommendations. However I have now discovered that after some time grey/black vertical lines appear, to spoil the viewing and checking up on the internet it appears that this is a major problem with these tv's Now I'm not complaining but do think you should also be pointing out these faults on your programmes. Its less than 2 yrs old
