Samsung HT-C6930 3D home cinema
The basics
The Samsung HT-C6930 is a 7.1 channel home cinema system with 3D Blu-ray playback and wireless surround left and right speakers. It features an iPod dock, wireless DLNA media streaming and a pair of HDMI inputs for hooking up external AV sources.
The good
3D Blu-ray movies may be thin on the ground at the moment, but the system does a fine job of delivering the desired effects of added depth and distance. It also excels with 2D Blu-ray films, showing an aptitude for displaying razor sharp detail and vibrant, punchy colours. Audio performance from those 7.1 speakers is also impressive, particularly when it comes to serving up pinging treble – and the 7.1 speaker array means you’re frequently enveloped in sound. The addition of two HDMI inputs means you can listen to external AV sources – a PS3 or Xbox 360 perhaps – through the speaker array too.
The bad
While it doesn’t lack power, the subwoofer’s bass is a little woolly at times, lacking the sort of control you’d get from a pricier package. Also, the vast array of features on offer makes the Samsung HT-C6930 somewhat complicated to set up – although once this is done you should never have to worry about it again.
The bottom line
A stylish, feature-stuffed system with pretty much everything you could want from a Blu-ray home cinema, 3D included.

Just got delivery today and whilst it make take a bit of time to set up its well worth the wait. Sound quality is superb but a bit disappointed with the volume when playing off Iphone. Not as loud as I would probably like. Sound volume is perfectly acceptable when watching DVD or Bluray. Very impressed with internet connectivity. How often I'll use it is another matter but nice to have the option. Can't comment on 3D capability yet as have not got a 3D tv but normal blurays play excellently.Very clear picture and colour is amazing going thru Samsung 50" HD plasma. All in all very happy with my purchase. £535 off Amazon. Bargain!!

Great system at a bargain price!!! I got this for £475 from Currys on-line which is about £200 cheaper than most places. Great sound great pictures. Does take a little while to set up, and I found I could only get 2 of the 4 screws into the base of the tallboys! Hasn't fallen apart yet, but there was no way the screws were going in!!! I love it, but am frustrated that I can't display what sound is playing from external sources. For example. I've hooked sky hd up to it, but it doesn't ever tell me if it's stereo, or 5.1. Also I cannot see how many channels the system is receiving. My old Onkyo separate, at the touch of the display button, would say if it's DTS, HDMA, TrueHD and if it's 5/6 or7.1. Just would be nice to see this info. It might be that I'm not looking hard enough on the remote!!!! If anyone knows different, please let me know!!! Anyway, this aside this is a fantastic piece of kit!! Own it!!
