Despite Jason's enthusiasm on the show, this kit has had some poor reviews, and suspect it's good for 'line of sight' only. I use sub-£30 AV senders with quite respectable room-to-room results and doubt there's much improvement to be found here.

Got one and it's a brilliant product. Installed the driver and it worked straight away. Can watch any Internet web site and all personal images and videos. Usable in same room only but since it connects the notebook to the telly, it is fine.

I feel some really important questions are not answered here or on the products site about the type of video quality it can support. 1. Can the gadget handle High Profile MPEG-4 video content in various container formats (MP4 / MKV / WMV etc.)? 2. As these can be at 720p or 1080p and at the later be up to or exceeding 12Mbps, can it stream it successfully (I noticed that nearly all the 1080p files I have don't stream successfully to my Xbox360 and stutter a lot, because of the high bit rates)? I have been looking for a gadget like this for ages so if this can hadle enough of my video it might be worth buying but i need to know how it performs.

No it doesn't work on Mac OS. I found out the hard way by buying one (no mention of supported platforms on Amazon's website) then finding out that it doesn't work with my Macbook Pro. I've emailed their support team to find out if they're doing anything about it. Come on Q-Waves ... you have a massive (and growing) market to tap into!

As you'll notice above, I commented on this originally in Apr when I bought one ... and to this date I'm still being fobbed off by XEL Solutions, the company that distribute the product. I've had nothing but empty promises from them for months. The Q-Waves kit is going in the bin. I'll know better than to waste my money next time

Here's another awesome way to stream those HD videos from your laptop/computer on to your HDTV. If you're looking for an alternative though, I suggest trying out the Netgear Push2TV product. This device makes use of the HDMI port on the HDTV and acts as a wireless adapter, displaying what you see on your laptop/computer on to your HDTV. So instead of connecting the laptop/computer via an HDMI cable, the Netgear Push2TV takes its place, and wirelessly streams the contents of your laptop/computer even if they're in separate rooms in the house. To know more about Netgear's Push2TV product, just check it out here, http://bit.ly/bByST7. I'm sure you'll love it too.

I have just bought a Quicklink TV but unable to use it on my Apple Imac, I would appreciate if Qwave could urgently bring out a driver for Apple users.
