Panasonic SC-BTT755 3D home cinema
The basics
The Panasonic SC-BTT755 is a Blu-ray home cinema system with 3D capabilities. It features a 5.1 speaker setup (including four floorstanding tallboy speakers), a built-in iPod/iPhone dock, a USB port and DLNA media streaming tech.
The good
When it comes to all-round audio and video performance, the SC-BTT755 really delivers the goods. While the Blu-ray playback quality might not match a higher end standalone player, pictures pack bags of detail and vibrant colours with plenty of depth. Black levels are also strong. On the sonic front, the four tallboy speakers serve up satisfying, full-bodied audio that is beautifully complemented by the subwoofer’s beefy bass response. Add in the media functionality, the iPod/iPhone docking and an FM radio tuner and you’ve got a lot of functionality in one system.
The bad
The only thing missing from this system are some HDMI inputs, which would allow you to hook your other HD kit up to the SC-BTT755 – PS3, Xbox 360, PC etc. – and have it process and output their surround sound.
The bottom line
Superb audio performance and solid picture quality, plus a top notch range of extras, make this one of the best lower end all-in-one home cinema packages around.
