Sony NWZ–W252
The basics
Sony has made a name for itself when it comes to music on the move, offering stunning products with incredible music quality. The Sony NWZ-W252 continues this trend, but packs all the technology into a set of wearable earphones.
The good
With the Sony NWZ–W252, there's no need for wires, no bulky electronics, and no separate bits to lose when listening to music on the go. Everything you need is fitted neatly into a set of earphones, making the Sony NWZ–W252 an ideal solution for fitness fanatics not wanting to get tangled up in wires.
One of the things we really like about the Sony NWZ–W252, is the fact that it can be partially charged in just three minutes. It's perfect if you're nipping out to the gym and forget to charge it beforehand – just leave it plugged in for a couple of minutes and you'll get three hours of use out of it.
The Sony NWZ–W252 is also water-resistant, so it's a great choice if you're into running, cycling or other outdoor sports. If it gets dirty, you can even place it under a running tap to clean it.
The bad
We've got used to seeing MP3 players with huge colour screens, that also double as entertainment centres where you can watch the latest films or sitcoms. The Sony NWZ–W252 is music only – although the fact you won't have to untangle any wires more than makes up for this. At 2GB, the Sony NWZ–W252 is also limited in capacity.
The bottom line
The Sony NWZ–W252 is an impressive bit of kit. Sure, the earphones are more bulky than a regular pair, but it's ideal for training or keeping fit, where you don't want wires to get in the way.
