I've got the most amazing plan that has already started taking place. I've already sold my 2g ipod touch on preloved for £120. I will then buy it from tesco because my mum has a 20% off discount. In total i will only have to pay £30!!! YES £30 FOR A NEW IPOD TOUCH! :)

I have owned 1 of these for a few weeks now and it is pretty much as good as it gets. I am no audiophile and have limited experience with mp3 players but this is amazing, with instant wifi and bluetooth connectivity you can keep online (Joiku app for Nokia phones turn them into a wifi hotspot for desperate connection to the internet when out and about.) and connect to speakers and home networks. To be honest i reach for this more than my macbook pro for checking emails, Facebook, IMDB etc, the endless apps are amazing and fun with games and silliness and utilities (who needs a wireless keyboard or mouse for their mac). Video is excellent and podcasts are a pleasure. The touch interface is intuitive and amazingly responsive and the whole beautiful piece of kit is a pleasure to use. Finally it is also a very good music player to boot.

I bought a iPod Touch just over 2 weeks ago and it is the best portable multimedia player I have ever owned. The battery life is excellent and when used with iTunes on a PC is a breeze to setup and download music, videos and apps. The WiFi makes it easy to surf using the built in Safari browser and you can turn the device into a phone by downloading Skype which is a free download from the App Store. Totally agree with the Gadget Show 5 star rating.

The battery needs charging too often (they could have made the body twice as thick and had double the battery size/life. Also they could have designed it so the back to could come off making fitting a new battery possible.

Why does The gadget show miss those awesome and helpful little games? For example i found a awesome game called cut the rope which i think is the next angry birds. And they have never mentioned free an app a day where they free paid apps and you have a wish list of the apps you want to be free for a day!

I have one of these, 32GB, and it is amazing. The camera for taking still images could be better but other than that, it's very good and I highly reccomend it.

This is an amazing gadget. Take care buying accessories, however. The headphone jack doubles as a speaker jack, and it isn't compatible with regular headphones. You can get an adaptor to fix this. iTunes has just about every app imaginable for the iPod, but again, take care in buying: it is an "iPod," not an "iPad." iPad apps do not run on iPods or iPhones, and iTunes won't sync an iPad app to any other iThingy. Going back to iTunes, the iPhone apps work on iPods. However, putting, say, a GPS app on on iPod is a waste of time, as the iPod uses stationary connectivity (WiFi and Bluetooth) and not roving connectivity (cell phone). G2 and G3 iPod Touch accessories work with the G4: chargers, speakers, etc. The touch screen turns greasy quickly, so watch the fish 'n' chips.

Hi, It says the cheapest is Apple but it is refurbished so it wont be as nice as a brand new one. The cheapest place to buy a new one is John Lewis for £159 for 8gb which is pretty good considering apple sell a new one at over £200. Way more expensive!!

I love the Apps on em, Mine broke recently but i never put the thing down, The face time is so amazing when you have so many people to talk to, it reminds me of the future and if your still repping a iPod touch 3G or nano, you need to get to the future! I miss mine and hopefully I'll get one again. btw 8realms beta was amazing, Can't wait till it fully comes out, I wanna play so bad!!!!

Ipods and apple are terrible for music i have an iphone so dont come out with the i hate apple coz i cant afford it rubbish. It has absolutely terrible sound quality. £150 - £250 odd for ipod touch with the cheapest pair of headphones on the planet WHAT A JOKE how tight can you get. Anyone who seriously claims to love music then goes out and gets one of these doesnt have a clue. Save yourself a fortune and buy a mid ranged £70 walkman amd a £16 pair of sony MDRXB20EX and your sorted.

I got the 32G 6 weeks ago and it is awesome, I never put it down. Don't need a new mobile Iphone pay as you go £400.00, just keep old phone and buy this for just over £200.00. Plus when out and about I can use my really old phone to connect to the internet with Giffgaff. So no need for "hotspots". Cheap as chips and to boot I have 87 albums on it so far, it just needs a flash for the camera, and so many free apps, games, I just can't put it down, it's so good I had to buy the wife one!!
