Pure One Mini
The basics
At 140x130x60mm, Pure One Mini is much smaller compared to other DAB/FM units on sale. It features an eight-piece road aerial that allows itself to extend vertically up to 44 cm. One Mini also has an input for an A/C adapter as well as battery bay for 'ChargePAK'.
The good
Now that Ross and Brand have been banished from the airwaves, you’re safe to explore the 50+ stations this petite DAB radio offers without stumbling across drunken confessions of sexual hi-jinks. Although we’re still not entirely sure about Classic FM’s Henry Kelly. The Mini gives surprisingly good sound quality for its size, plus a headphone socket and line-in for hooking up your iPod. You can pause the scrolling text, and there’s FM reception if you get nostalgic for hiss. The eco-friendly Mini is also endorsed by the Energy Saving Trust – bonus!
The bad
If you want to take the Mini out and about, you’ll need to buy Pure’s own rechargeable battery – the heftily priced (£30) ChargePak. Unlike posher digital radios, you can’t pause or rewind the broadcast itself.
The bottom line
A great sounding little radio, but the expensive battery and lack of music control mean this Mini adventure is unlikely to stray too far from the kitchen. Still a delightful radio though.

Great for the £25 John said it costs but too expensive at £44! Where can you get it for £25?

It looks ideal for my nephew who need knobs for tuning not buttons, but I have also looked around and can only see it for £38 plus. I would also like to know where to get it for closer to £25, if possible. Thank you

I just want a radio that will play me radio 2 when I want it. Nothing else, don't want it to make my tea or iron my shirts just play me radio 2. But spec it has to have is: Main power lead. Be able to power external speakers in other rooms. Be Dab and be able to connect to external roof arial. Now what's so hard about that? Is that so unreasonable to expect or request? But try to find such a thing. You either get tinny portables that do none of the above or overcomplicated hifi moduals that do a hundred and one things you don't want and cost as much as a reasonably priced televion set.
