Arcam Solo Mini
The basics
Arcam Solo Mini is an integrated CD, radio, and stereo amplifier that followed the successful original Arcam-designed 'Solo'. The Solo Mini comes in silver with 230x350mm dimensions. It weighs a 6.7 kg and features a DAB receiver, AM and FM receiver, USB connection as well as CD playback
The good
Cambridge-based Arcam has been getting hi-fi buffs hot under their buttoned-down collars for 35 years. The Solo Mini DAB radio/CD player is its most accessible product to date. We found it dead simple to use, yet crammed to bursting with heavyweight, high-end components (that's why - even though it's petite, it weighs a hernia-inducing 4kg). We hooked up a pair of Muso speakers and weren't disappointed by the sound quality - the DAB tuner delivers full-bodied, precise audio that blows our own compact DAB radio out of the water (it probably shouldn't have been there in the first place), while CD playback is detailed, precise, transparent and crisp. Lovely!
The bad
The only thing that doesn't scream audiophile quality about this is its verging-on-reasonable price tag. Unless you add a few Musos and things start to get a bit crazy.
The bottom line
User-friendly and sonically tasty. Don't be put off by the price, this is a serious bit of hi-fi gear that will keep rockin' for many years.

I've read quite a few feedbacks/reviews on this product and to be honest I'm pretty impressed, although the price tag is a bit... I just did some more research today and saw this new review: http://www.ordio.com.au/products/Arcam-Solo-Mini-System-With-Free-iPod-Dock-and-Arcam-Muso-Speakers.html another positive review and it seems to be a good deal with the speakers etc...has anyone had any previous experience with this merchant?
