This is the old version of what is a real little gem of a speaker, we now have the X-mini II, it is only in mono, but the sound for such a small speaker is remarkable, a quick twist of the body lets this little gem expand to produce good bass tones. There is also a short cable with audio jack to daisy-chain them if you happen to have more than one or have friends that have one, according to the manufacturer, battery life should be up to 12 hours. Over all this is a pretty neat little ball of sound.

I have the 2nd gen model. Is awesome for such a small speaker. Just check the 100's of reviews on amazon to see how popular these are. Took one travelling and am taking it again. Takes a beating in the backpack and battery life is excellent.

You can spend a lot of money on mp3/ipod docks etc, some of them are more portable then others, or you could just buy the x-mini. Awesome sound from a little speaker, who cares if it's mono, some more expensive docks lose the stereo effect more than a few feet away as the speakers are too close together, so save some money and buy this impressive bit of gadge and astound your friends.
