The good

We love the design of the Ferguson Hill FH009 home theatre system, with a classic transparent design to the speakers themselves, and high quality aluminium supports. It feels every inch the high-end entertainment system, and would compliment even the most expensive TV.

Along with the classy transparent horn speakers, the Ferguson Hill FH009 also features two bass speakers, with an integrated amplifier also built into the white casing.

The Ferguson Hill FH009 sounds like nothing else on Earth, with the open horn design leading to incredibly delicate and clear audio. It's complimented perfectly by the sub woofer, with enough power for even the most dramatic movie or music.

The bass never threatens to drown out other sounds, however, and this is one speaker system that really does sound as good as it looks.

The bad

We absolutely love the way the acrylic horn speakers look – aping Ferguson Hill's much more expensive speakers – but we're not so fond of the sub woofer. Finished in white, it looks bulky in comparison to its siblings, and you'll struggle to find somewhere to put it if your TV is attached to the wall.

The bottom line

Despite this, it's impossible not to like the Ferguson Hill FH009 home theatre system. It's beautifully well made, it looks fantastic and it sounds every bit as good as it looks. If you can store the bass speakers and amp somewhere below your TV, it's easy to recommend.
