The basics

V-Moda Remix Remote Headphones take the standard in-ear design and bring a slice of LA glamour. The metal casing to the headphones is machine tooled, giving it a bling look, which won’t be to everyone’s taste.

You’ll find a 9mm V-MASQUE HD neodymium dynamic driver, 3-button inline remote control and even a microphone for use with your Apple iPhone 4.

The good

The build quality of the V-Moda Remix Remote is fantastic. You’ll find custom designed Kevlar reinforced cable, which is up to 10 times tougher than normal rubber cabling. Then there is the 24K gold-plated adapter that sits at a 45-degree angle with plenty of padding, so you won’t find it wearing out.

There are some nice little extras include, such as the choice of black ear buds or white. Then there are the Sports Earhooks that allow you to secure the headphones over your ear and help reduce noise when running or working out. You can even keep everything safe with the bundled draw-string cloth carry bag.

Sound quality is great with plenty of Bass without ever hampering the top end. We did find they tended to lose clarity when turned down low but when pounding the streets or on the treadmill we found they were a great choice.

The bad

We’ve no serious problems with the V-Moda Remix Remote headphones. Sure, they look a little tacky but if bling is your thing then you’ll love them.

The bottom line

The V-Moda Remix Remote have a style of their own, so you’re hardly likely to see another pair down the gym but it’s the sound quality that will truly knock you out.
