Sennheiser CX400
The basics
Sennheiser CX400 is a pair of headphones that boasts of quality bass and clarity. It has rubber sheathes that protect the cable that comes from each earpiece from going down in your ear. Unlike other earphones with cables which are either too long or too short, the CX400 comes with an extension cable which you can plug into if needed.
The good
These in-ear buds are the perfect example of why you should replace your iPod's bundled pish. For a mere £5 shy of a demi-ton you get big, heavy bass, supremely clear vocals and oh-so-sweet treble. We pumped some brutish sounds through these earphones and they were delivered to our ears with all the enthusiasm of Dermot O'Leary on acid (we imagine). Constructed from sturdy metal and supplied with a menage a trois of earpiece cap sizes, these beauties feel comfortable to wear and should fit well, even if your ears resemble a loveable Disney elephant's. The earpieces also fit tightly in your ear canals, creating a seal to block out annoying background noise and isolate your tunes.
The bad
Er, nothing really. Normally we'd say the price for something this good, but at two score and five, these are cheap!
The bottom line
Forget David Beckham-style earrings, these Sennheisers are the aural adornment you want to be wearing this season, not least for the outstanding sonics they trasport to your head balancers. They're a lot cheaper too!

The sound is good. The length of cable is annoying. Without extension it's a little short, with free extension it is too long and I have to use a rubber band to scrunch it up.
