For Michele,
I'm also in the army and I’ve just got this “gouchy " kit and highly recommend it, it’s perfect for what we want and need, I got mine in the in the US very cheap for £150 so might be worth going on line and saving a few beer tokens. It also came with an ipod adaptor, case and two batteries so you’ll be good to go.
It has a built in speaker but it’s not very loud. You can ether plug earphones into your ipod or plug in some portable speakers, hope this helps mate.
