Without wishing to start a "Mine is better than yours" battle, which usually ensues such comments, i would like to say that I am fortunate enough to own all of the curent gen consoles and in my humble opinion the PS3 doesnt cut it at the moment. The reasons for my comments are numerous. Firstly, we are still in a position whereby there are really no killer apps exclusive to the machine. Agreed there are some, but nothing that lifts it head and shoulders above the competition. Games are generally more expensive although this is levelling out lately, but games do tend to be about £5.00 dearer on this format? The Blu-ray element of the machine is not THAT good when compared to stand alone players. The loading times are poor and the user interface, whilst slick in appearance, is not very user friendly. Plus I still think it looks like a george forman gril LOL (slimline machine exempt). Despite my fairly negative comments, it is a quality piece of kit that has yet to be realised and pushed to its full potential. Alas, we might no see that before the next generation begins, which would be a shame. Unfortunately, late to the party, lagging behind the competition.
