I just bit the bullet and got a real bargain as it was the last in the shop. After some serious haggling the price dropped and the side speakers were thrown in. After getting it mounted to the wall, I was blown away by the picture quality. The kids love it as they can watch Sponge Bob on the big screen! The side speakers are OK, but even when compared to a decent centre speaker they are flat and lack real clarity. But good enough for everyday TV. I have a Yamaha 7.1 surround amp for when we sit down to watch films; the big bass and sound quality together with the picture quality even suprised the missus (and as you know lads, that's not easy...).
Cost, well I knew it was expensive, but every review and magazine I had read always gave it maximum marks and I can totally see why.
Great features as well, like the auto ambience screen adjust. Nice one Pioneer, but such a shame they have now pulled out of the market. I think we may live to regret that...
Nice one Gadget Show, the whole family loves your show, being a D&T Teacher as well I always 'big it up' in lesson. As I say to them, Gadgets & Suzi Perry... where's the discussion!!!
