very disappointing review, if you are going to test a series of boots it would make sense to test like with like. Meindl boots are supposed to be very stiff to enable them to be crampon compatible, crampons just pop off over flexible boots. So to mark down something without testing it in the way it is intended to be used is somewhat pointless. Brian Blessed being an experienced mountain walker should have known better. Incidentally the Scarpa SL M3 boots also tested on another show are equally stiff yet rated highly!!
