Purchase October 2010 and rarely use it. In the first year the lid cracked and then broke in two. Received replacement lid from Tefal in December 2011, then on 6 February 2012 within a minute of switching it on, there was a loud report together with flash which lit up the kitchen.
Reported defect to Tefal. Three options available.
Will offer to replace same model with 40% discount about £110.00p.
Will give details of an authorised repairer - about £40.00p.
Return to retailer under the Sale of Goods Act - within 6 years.
