I would buy something else:
Mine came with version 2.00EU firmware. It was easy to set up and works fine. There are however bugs in the firware relating to mac addresses.
I was unable to use the functionality to fix IP addresses for specified mac addresses to my non wireless devices. This bug is also present in the "clone mac address" and "only allow access to specified mac addresses" functionality, the latter being another tool for better securing your router.
Other bugs include being unable to set rules that go past midnight.
These bugs have supposedly been fixed in the 2.01EU firmware (although I know the "clone mac address" hasnt been fixed) but after loading I have no access to the WAN. Its almost like its been disabled. Luckily the flash back to previous firmware worked and I have internet access back again.
If anyone on Virgin Media cable connection has managed to get this working I would love to know what you did (or if it's just me!).
I have requested support via their online support tool (only works on IE!) - as I am at work during their working hours so dont have access to my router, and phone support is 10p a minute (about 3 minutes before you get added to the queue)!
Its been 3 weeks and I have had no response and the one time I rang their advise didnt work. I have to say their support appears to be non-existent.
I am tempted to RMA it as it doesnt provide the functionality promised in the manual and they seem unwilling to help me sort it out.
This is my first D-Link purchase and I am not impressed.
