Yeyyyyyyyyy Dionne is back hosting WebTV next week :-). She must have got tired of being in the background during Pollyanna's Top 5s (as she was last and this week). As for this weeks gadge, totally in love with having a 60incher telly in my flat, shame I can't afford them.

Enjoyed the show, but as usual a 'Gadget Show' leaning towards all things Apple !!!! MOST people don't use there products, I know many do. but really a more even handed approach would be appreciated by most of your viewers, IMO (then again, maybe it's just me ?) Looking forward to Dionne's return, but thoroughly enjoyed Polly's work here and on the TV for last few weeks. Keep up the good work :)

Over 200,000 android phones are sold every day. It's coming to the point that you will have to give 50% airtime to android phones as they will be that popular compared to the iphone. Android is more popular than iphones in the US. The gadget show uses apple macs, I work in IT and have never met anyone who has one. Use the Galaxy S, HTC Desire as well as the iphone when doing reviews.

Regarding Android apps - I agree that some should be included, you can't just compare how many ANdroid phones are sold vs iPhones, you have to look at the number of apps available on each platform, and the number of apps sold for each. There are a lot of Android phones being sold (not surprising as they are manufactured by a host of companies as opposed to just Apple making the iPhone), but app usage is much higher on iPhones (I have seen several reports confirming this) Also, I believe the Gadget Show spends time on Apple's products as they lead the way in terms of consumer tech. What did smartphones look like before the iPhone, and what do they look like now? (see this http://bit.ly/bgY0q9), and see what is happening to tablets now that the iPad has been released - Windows tablets had been around for five years without seeing mass adoption, but since the iPad everyone else is making copycat devices ...

The Gadget Show should reflect what people use as well as what is fashionable. I have used both stores, the app store is better than android market at the moment but there are still tens of thousands of apps on android. If you look at Pollys app reviews over recent weeks they are mostly on the iphone. The presenters use their own phones, this is more like product placement. As for comparing android phones they still have the same software with a few tweaks, they use the same apps not really that different to PCs.

Mike - Seriously, you never met anyone who owns an Apple Mac? Considering they are one of the biggest selling laptops in the USA and Europe I find that staggering. Apple lead the way in introducing cutting edge technology and then in making it mainstream. They are rarely the first to do something but they are almost always the first to do it really well and bring it to the masses. I would guess that's why Apple products feature fairly prominently on The Gadget Show and on plenty of other technology sites and media outlets.

Simon, apple fan, the facts don't back up your words for apple mac sales. No business would use a mac as their main computer for an office. http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9144658/Mac_sales_can_t_keep_pace_with_cheap_PCs_Apple_slips_to_No._5

Interesting WebTV, a little feedback if you please.... 1) Welcome back Dinonne, can't wait for next week. 2) Its been 95 episodes, please sort out the sound volume between different segments. 3) Polly must be glad these aren't HD due to the number of closeups there are on her face. 4) Did you get permission from whoever has their mobile number written on that whiteboard?? That is all. Jon rules

@mike firstly i agree that when showing apps it should be so many for iphone and android but i am staggered you work in IT firstly yes pc count for the majority of office placement as pc are cheaper but as for not having an office powered by macs are you kidding me the majority of system in broadcasting and films uses macs final cut pro is the most in demand editor dont believe me go to free lance broadcaster and look in the job section in the music industry the most used application is logic yet again a mac only system the majority of graphic designer i know uses mac most printing firms use macs pcs are great versatile available for every budget but they do have limitations also on a side note out of 10 friends only 2 have androids phones6 have iphone the others have nokia 5800

@ xavier 61 How many people are employed in the music industry? Very few. Check the phone book you would find a couple of graphic designers in tens of thousands of workers. In finance I am yet to see a mac in an office enviromment. Macs still sell but not in that high a numbers as the figures state. Price is not the only reason why people and firms choose PCs over macs. http://www.osnews.com/story/23658/Android_Phone_Sales_Outpace_iPhone_Sales Its very nice to compare your friends the figures give the real results.

Hmm actually I use only apple macs for my national company. And as a previous it director of an international company we used apple macs as key stones of the it system. And now supply advise and services to other companies using macs. Windows has both a terrible security record and poor reliability. If you never have used one or met anyone with a mac then you must be living in a cave!!

Andy here is a quote from sales of macs. 'Those trend lines are no friend of the Mac desktop. For 2009, seven out of ten Macs sold were laptops, and in 2010 that ratio will likely rise to three out of four. While this may explain the single table of iMacs in the back of my local Apple Store, the question now becomes: is the Mac desktop doomed?' I agree security can be an issue with windows. You wouldn't use a laptop for an office computer, good luck. the cave does have lights..

If you are dissappointed with the Sony, you will hate the other 3D tvs. I've just bought this tv and although the quality is sometimes lacking, it is much better than my friend's Samsung tv which flickers constantly and gives me a kind of 'drunk' vision.
