@Hugh Ignore the laggy reports. Mine runs like a dream, is as fast as the wife's iPhone4, is far more useable every day, comes with THE best camera (my biggest draw to this phone), is significantly better put together than any other smartphone (I've driven over mine and it lived!), and was a lot cheaper.
Best of all though, it's not an iPhone and I never have to use the terrible iTunes service ever again. Hoorah!
ive just upgraded from 5230 to the n8...i love it and with the new albeit prototype photo browser its great, the only gripe i have is how slippy it is to hold i keep dropping it a new case should resolve that minor problem!

The specs of the Nook do sound good, but reviews in the US indicate that the actual user experience is terrible. Laggy, slow, unintuitive etc etc etc.
