Just watched Johns review of the HT 7. I found it decidedly negatively biased. I believe just a 'little' research would have befitted and he would have been able to explain features with a far more neutral opinion. As a reviwer of the phone i would give him 2 out of 10! - Much improvement needed.
Too much is missing from WinPhone 7 at the moment. I am sure it will improve with time but too limited to compete with iPhone and Android at the moment.
At present there is no cut and paste, multitasking, html5, or Mac support, and very few apps. Maybe in a year or so it will be able to compete.
The interface looks nice - at least Microsoft haven't copied Apple (for a change) ...
"a rather frightening battery life"... is that good or bad? :S
and in response to "hugh", there is multi-tasking, just not for 3rd party apps yet, and cut and paste will be coming in an update soon enough!
That was the worst Review I have seen!
Very bad John, Very bad indeed!
Did you compare your review to Engadget or Gizmodo reviews, because they found alot more positive aspects than you have, or where you not looking for any positives!
By the way John.
Windows Phone 7 has just been awarded Editor's Choice by What Mobile
http://www.whatmobileawards.co.uk/2010/what-mobile-award-winners-2010/
Last year Android won this award, this year its windows phone 7, So it mustn't be that bad.
I will wait and hope on a real review from the Gadget show soon.
Biased, cut and paste is coming in Jan 2010 no note of that? He hasn't even shown the amazing pinch and zoom you get, Android can only dream of this. Yes you need Zune to copy your documents but so what, you need some software to sync with your mobile right? This mobile is unique that it offers zune, xbox and all your documents and contacts in the cloud. All syncs perfectly. There are some things I would like to get improved but this is definetely better Android. I wonder why Dell are scrapping their blackberries for WP7 when they had android devices out around 6-9 months ago?
