I feel as if the table football has been robbed of it's place on the wall of fame, It's just a simply amazing game that has been around for generations and much more known than pinball.
i think that pinball should go on the wall of fame because it is a lot better than table football is. i would rather play pinball all day than table football.
The football table is a classic a worldwide classic even the yanks love it how did pinball win i've never seen one except but i've seen football tables all around the world!
I think the football table should have won because pinball machines are only in pubs and special places but football tables are everywhere! Football tables are much more exciting!
I think table football was robbed of victory because it is a proper british game that anybody can play and enjoy and never get bored of it ! TABLE FOOTBALL ALL THE WAY !
I feel like table football has been robbed cause of Suzy's fave game pinball, Jason shold have won because table football is absoulutely fantastic but pinball has a supervised number of players. I say TABLE FOOTBALL.
I think that table football is better. Pinball is just a hobby whereas table football can be played as championships. Pinball has no real history to me exept being fun. The football really has loads of it.
Much as I love suzi how is pinball multi-player (up to 4 players...) ? Come on....it's 'billy no mates' for sure.
Table football is more skillful and more interactive. Jason's presentation was better too (sorry Suzi). Jason was robbed for sure.
Pinball machines are always covered in cheesy graphics...it's just crap compared to table football; two or four mates, four pints of Stellar and a £1 coin. Table football is far and away the better game.
I was actually part of the England duo, footage shown on your video clip when we won the 1998 J&B Table Football World Cup at Wembley Arena, when we beat Argentina in the final to win 2 games to nil!
It was such an adrenalin rush winning the trophy and there is so much skill with table football how on earth can you mention it in the same breath as Pinball! Pinball is just a random game bettered compared with tiddlywinks!
Thanks for showing the clip of winning the trophy at Wembley, it brought back magical memories.
Regards
Steve Smith
Re: Steve
If you've ever seen Jorian, Bowen, or Keith Elwin play pinball, you would reconsider your opinion on just how random it is. It is a game that requires an unbelievable amount of skill, hand eye coordination, precision, timing, AND in-depth knowledge of hundreds of tables in order to succeed on a high level. The reason it's not more popular is because it's so freakin hard that some people try to convince themselves it actually is just random. I've played both and seen the best at both. Table football is more popular, but pinball is more difficult when played at the highest level imo. Come to the pinball world championships and watch one of the better players work a machine and keep a ball in play for 20plus minutes, then tell me it's just randomness and luck.
Re: Jamie.
Fair comment re the pinball professionals but I can only see two specific skills to counteract the random nature of the game ie reaction skills for sure and weighting of the pinball shots, whereas table football has a vast array of skills for pro attacking, defending and a multitude of skill shots which is like your own private arsenal depending how develop. Also, table football is being pushed to be included as an Olympic sport.
The sad thing is I cant remember the last time I actually saw a pinball machine in any pubs which is a shame. Its the same as table football tables, its difficult to find city centre pubs with any of them in, I put this down to amateurish commercial managers who work with pubs / pub chains who cant see that although 4 pubs a day are closing down, table football, pinball machines actually help attract and help with customer retention as all the naive commercial managers/pub managers seem to think trivia and fruit machines will do the trick and boost profits...sadly mistaken. Classic example of this is O'Neills Irish Bar in Peterborough, they used to have a table football table for 5 years and took it out a year ago [ even though it took £600 plus a month ] to put a small dining table in its place. This area is a thoroughfare with access to the ladies and gents either side. Who is going to eat there! And no one eats in those type of pubs on a Fri or Sat evening....so they got rid of the small dining table and didnt bother replacing the football table despite organising meetings with the manager of the pub she didnt even turn up!!! The sense of apathy is there to be seen.

me and my mates used to play at the o'neils bar peterborough always had a few drinks there before we went clubbing.Best player i ever saw was a guy with a tattoo on his hand who could hit the ball harder than anyone i have ever seen,so fast you couldnt even see the ball!!!! I wish there was still a table in peterborough it was great fun.
