Yet another pro-Iphone review from the Gshow. We've been able to run a host of different satnav apps on WinMo phone for years, including Tomtom, and yet its mentioned here as if its a new thing and Apple have invented it. Wrong! I myself use TT on an HTC (and have for over 4 years) with no additional hardware. This also gives the benefit of being able to use a satnav on foot or when in someone elses car, not something you'd readily do with a real Tomtom unit unless you like carrying it about. Like a lot of users I want everything in one unit which I do always have with me, i.e., a phone. Seems unfair that you missed out one of most major mobile satnav platforms just so you can plug the Iphone again. All the other devices you showed had expensive additional hardware as well, who would use a PSP as a satnav....come on! And the Apple cradle which is really the GPS receiver at £100??? what, buy a tomtom for £99. I did try a 3GS with satnav a few months ago without the cradle and it was totally hopeless, lost the signal for over half of my journeys and had me on the wrong road a lot. It just doesn't do it and compared to my winmo phone, which happily plays music and takes calls while using tomtom, there's no comparison. Try and do some more "fair" reviews please.
