Wow, the gadget show have certainly excelled on their poor reviews this week! That's right, instead of using the same scene to compare the individual merits of 3 entry level DSLR's, perhaps somewhere abroad in the sun or indoors within a controlled environment, John Bentley thinks a better idea is to climb inside the cabin of a shaky airship and fly above a gloomy London to work out which is the best offering! Wonderful ... I cannot think of a more hopeless method of review camera's; a segment that last no more than 2 minutes and clearly overlooked the individual usp's of each model. Hopeless as always ... But at least the team weren't running around testing them in yet another dull and boring 'challenge' - aka Top Gear meets The Gadget Show ... Although that was still to come from tonight's episode. To be honest, I no longer trust or care about the Gadget Show; I get more from reading Engadget and CNET each day than this excuse to spend money throwing 5 presenters around on tv with a vague link to technology products!

One question, which idiot decided not to allow the 'Gadget' show to be watched on the worlds leading 'gadget', either via the channel five website or via YouTube. Most of the worlds Tech website support iOS but you don't, why? Even the BBC's Click program can be watched on the iPad. The BBC is running rings around ITV & channel 5 with streaming catch up services, at least C4 have made an effort with their new app. Come on, the show is great. Don't continue to spoil it's gadget status let us watch it on iOS.

Neil 16May 2001 .... I agree with everything you say. === At least no tanks running over the cameras or having them blown up as if that is a normal day in our lives. This show should be on childrens TV it's not for grown ups. Not watched a FULL show for years and only saw this one as they mentioned camers at the very beginning

Terrible review the best that he preferred the PHOTOS (it is a camera) on the Canon but it came second to the Nikon because the Nikon has a 'Guide Mode' which the Canon has too although it is cryptically named the 'On-screen Feature Guide' which may have confused Jon

Kind of disappointing really... For a start Jon was taking pictures on a gloomy, murky day in London, so you couldn't see at all how vibrant the colours were on the cameras. Plus they were taken out of a misty window, so you'll get reflections and light shining on the window, making the photos seem washed out slightly aswell.
