It's a pity that the MDI Compressed Air Vehicle could not be used for the motoring part of this competition.
It is the most efficient electric/hybrid car: three hours to charge;180km city - air only;1500km motorway- hybrid; no batteries and compressed air being a mechanical motor is more responsive than an electric motor .
See ( http://www.mdi.lu/english) and join the waiting list to buy one. They are priced as an economy car.
