Xbox 360 Arcade gets internal storage
What Microsoft gives with one hand, it takes with the other. Just ask the Xbox 360 Arcade
What’s going on with the Xbox 360? First Microsoft cut the prices significantly, then the big M gave the Dashboard the equivalent of a Joan Rivers’ facelift and now it’s gone and shoved in 256MB of built-in storage into the Xbox 360 Arcade.
That’s the good news. The bad news is it’s ditched the external hard drive. All of which means that from now on you can save games and download shizzle as soon as you take your new console out of its box, but you won’t be able to take the hard drive out and about with you – unless you like carrying your whole Xbox 360 around with you, that is, but who likes doing that?
You could still buy an external hard drive, but at £90 for a 120GB hard drive, they don’t exactly cost pocket-change. Still, it’s nice to have the choice.
