Windows Phone 7 getting Xbox multiplayer gaming?
Windows Phone 7 – more gaming on the go?
Microsoft may be planning real-time multiplayer gaming between Windows Phone 7 devices and the Xbox 360. Greg Milligan – the company’s Canadian Mobility Solutions Manager was speaking at a Microsoft event in Toronto when he let the news slip.
Milligan stated that you’d eventually be able to play with your mates over Wi-Fi. He aid: “We are working on real-time phone-to-console, likely initially through Wi-Fi.” Meaning that you could be playing mates sat at home on their consoles while you’re out and about on your mobile.
Although this service will not be available at Windows 7’s launch, he also promised some tasty treats for right now, in the form of mini-games for the new devices that would unlock Xbox 360 content, with prices starting at $1.99.
He said: “There will be companion-type gaming where you play a level on the phone and it may unlock a level or a weapon or some sort of special achievement on the console game.”
What do you think? Would yo be happy to hook up to your Xbox buddies while you were on a phone? Let us know below…

Far be it from me to rain on Microsoft's parade, but I was wondering if they have managed to spare a few moments to make Windows phones accessable for blind people like me. I know people knock Apple but at least I can use their products out of the box, i don't think I'll be able to use a Windows phone which is a shame as it seems a good piece of gadgetry.
