Windows Phone 7 ditches cut and paste
Windows Phone 7 – lacking key functions?
Windows Phone 7 Series may not offer a cut and paste function, according to the latest reports.
The cut and paste function was one of the original features missing on the iPhone, much to consumers’ annoyance, and it was widely welcomed in the iPhone OS 3.0 update.
But if the latest hints from the MIX conference are to be believed, then it might not appear on the first round on Windows Phone 7 devices.
Microsoft told Engadget that though there is “a data-detection service built into the text-handling API that will recognise phone numbers and addresses… most users, including Office users, don’t really need clipboard functionality.” And no clipboard equals no cut and paste.
There’s always a chance that the feature will be added with a later software update though. What do you think? Do you use cut and paste? Will this be a major mistake on the part of Microsoft? Let us know below…

I have an iphone 3g and I use the cut and paste a fair bit when composing messages. This would realy be something that should be included on all phones as it saves time when editing text before sending.
