Windows Phone 7 – more details announced
We might not know when exactly Windows Phone 7 is coming to a smartphone near us, but more details are emerging today at the Microsoft MIX 2010 keynote about what we can expect when it does launch.
Microsoft’s new OS will have an app store called Microsoft Phone Marketplace and a whole host of high-profile partners that have already signed on the dotted line. Foursquare, Pandora, Fandango, Sling Media, and Shazam are already hopping aboard the Windows Phone 7 bus.
You’ll also be able to try applications out in the Marketplace before you use them – “The Marketplace will also enable customers to try applications before buying them and allow developers to cross-promote their applications through deep linking,” says Microsoft.
Sounds like things are hotting up over at Microsoft HQ – we’ll gibe you more news on Windows Phone 7 as it happens…
