Voafone launches mobile WiFi service
There's a new dongle in town
Vodafone has launched its own mobile WiFi service, by launching a WiFi connector complete with a series of contracts to go with it. Just the thing if you want to boost your web powers on the go.
Vodafone’s new mobile Wi-Fi solution will let you connect up to five devices at once, so you can slot in your mobile phone, netbook, game console or whatever so that all can get back on the internet in a flash. Just like a 3G dongle, Vodafone’s WiFi dongle is grabbing web data over an HSDPA connection, but then transmits it as its own tiny Wi-Fi network.
Showing up as a WiFi connection will come in handy with many devices too, as phones will often limit connected features such as video streaming and introduce file size download limits over 3G. You’ll face no such problems with mobile WiFi.
The device itself offers up to four hours of battery life with five people connected, and can be charged over USB or with the mains adaptor.
The cheapest plan for Vodafone Mobile WiFi is available on is the £15 a month plan, which includes an 18-month contract and gives you 3GB of data allowance. The device itself costs £49 on this tariff. To get the device for free, you’ll have to upgrade to the £25 a month tariff, which includes 5GB of data a month.

3g is still the cheapest - they launched a wifi (mifi dongle) ages ago. £15/month for 15gb their the only ones that do this max 15gb of data everywhere max is 10gb. So i'd go for 3g as their signal quality is improving. all these other dongle networks are still very overpriced.
