When it lands you’ll know about it as you’ll find that you have access to a better and improved service, For starters, you’ll find that a fully integrated version of BBC iPlayer will now be part of the package and if you want to wander of and watch clips on YouTube, you’ll find things look a whole lot better.
In order to get the update you’ll need to leave your Virgin Media TiVo box on standby or switched on overnight. You’ll get an update message on 25th November giving you a full run down of the new features the software updated has handed over.
We know we open ourselves up to being called Apple fanboys around here, but Virgin Media TiVo also has good news for iPad and iPhone users, as the service is now compatible TiVo iPad and iPhone apps, so you’ll be able to control what’s going on from the comfort of your console or smartphone.
For those waiting for the arrival of Spotify on their Virgin Media TiVo, well you’ll have to wait a little longer as it’s not expected to hit until the 29th November and will initially only be open to anyone with a Spotify premium account.

Sadly, another update is coming around at the moment. It prevents use of third party apps (including the superb US TiVo buddy). It seems that Virgin think TiVo owners were having too much fun.
