Virgin begins movie streaming service
Virgin Media gets streaming
Virgin Media has launched a new online movie streaming service. Called Virgin Media Online Movies, the site is offering a selection of new releases and older films to choose to be streamed to watch when you want.
The streaming rentals range in price – from £1.50 to £3.50 for blockbusters and new releases. The films remain in your account for 30 days but once you press play you have 48 hours to watch them as many times as you want. You can also stream from wherever you log on, so you’re not locked down to one PC.
There’s no HD offerings yet, although Virgin Media promises that an upgrade is on the way along with an online TV streaming service later in the year.
