Toshiba Camileo S10 camcorder: thin is in Capture big pictures with the super skinny Camileo S10

Big pictures doesn’t need to mean a big camcorder – Toshiba’s latest Hi-Def movie machine measures a slim 18mm when folded flat so it’s barely bigger than a set of playing cards.

Despite its diminutive dimensions it can still capture footage at Full HD 1080p resolution, so you can relive the moment Kevin was attacked by that goat repeatedly in glorious high definition. There’s a swing out 2.5-inch LCD screen on the side for instant replay. If you’re looking for a bigger canvas to display your work, then you can connect up to a big screen telly thanks to the built in HDMI port.

You don’t need to worry about running out of space to store your clips – the SD card slot means you can switch in more when you’re running low. Slip in a 32GB card and you can shoot up to eight hours of material before it gets full.

Once you’ve finished recording, you can use the bundled editing software to trim down your shots and then share them with the world thanks to the included YouTube upload facility. Kevin will definitely appreciate it.

The Camileo S10 will be available in May for around £130.

I am looking to purchase the Toshiba Camileo S10 but would like to know if it is compatible when downloading the results onto an Apple iMac running on OSX 10.4? Also, if the Toshiba Camileo S10 is compatible with an an Apple iMac OSX 10.4, which software is recommended for editing etc as I have read online a few people saying that the software that comes with Toshiba Camileo S10 doesn't work on a Mac? Would iMovie HD work? Thank You.
