Asus unveils two Hi-Def Eee Tops; we fall in love
The Asus Eee Top all-in-one desktop has just had a bit of a makeover. And by makeover we mean it’s been given a spanking new HD screen!
The budget Eee Top range was always an excellent affordable all-in-one desktop alternative to Apple’s iMac, looking surprisingly swish for the minimal outlay. It even has a handy touchscreen. In fact, pretty much the only thing that didn’t resonate with us was the low-resolution screen. The new Eee Top ET20 and ET22s, however, rectify that with their Hi-Def displays.
Ditching the Fisher Price look of the old range the 20-inch Eee Top ET20 is almost throbbing with sheer sex appeal and ramps up the specs with 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive dual core Atom 330 processor, HDMI output and a 1600×900 screen capable of 720p HD video.
Not satisfied with that Asus has also thrown out the even better specced Asus Eee Top ET22, which takes up the size a notch to 22 inches. That’s not the best of it, though. The ET22 has a full-HD 1920×1080 screen, an Intel Core Duo T6599 CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB HDD, Blu-ray, ATI HD4570 graphics and HDMI input. Is that sexy enough for you?
There’s no price yet, but being part of the Asus Eee range we’re betting that it’s going to be affordable. The iMac poster on our wall has officially been replaced!
